Crystal reports 11/newbie
We need to add a field to an existing report. The only way I can see to do that (besides creating it all over from scratch) is via a subreport - because the field belongs to table not included. I have the placement and shape right. The ONLY problem is that I cannot see the one line of data in the field when I unclick can grow.  When I click can grow, I see the number I want but the box goes on forever - 495 pages no less.
Can someone please advise me.?

as long as the field can be properly linked to existing table(s) in the report you should just be able to add the table to the report, link it, and place the field in as needed.

Go to Database, Database expert, find the table and move it into the Selected tables, then link it as needed.
