Right click on the cell in the CT and select format Field.
Go to the Border Tab.
Select Background color and choose your color.

If it is conditional based on the value in the cell
Right click on the cell and select Highlighting Expert and use that.

I hav tried this already and the coloring is done for the values with some blank spaces all around. What my client needs is the coloring must be even as if i fill color in a box. Can u pls suggest anything for that?.

Right Click on the CT and select GRID OPTIONS then select SHOW CELL MARGINS.

That should uncheck that option and shrink the cells so no white space is left around it.
Note I am using vXI so I am not sure about earlier versions for this.

I learned on vX so I am not sure.

here is what I would try...
Do you have the STYLE tab onm the CT Expert? If so pick a few of the styels and see if there are any that have the background set the way you want. IT will be on too any cells but it will confirm that it is possible. If it is chaneg the format to this custom option and start looking at the various properties to see where to turn the vlaues off or on.
Sorry I can'r answer better than that but hopefully it will help.
Maybe someone else that has used vIX can chime in also...

I tried changing the styles one by one. They color all the 3 summarized fields as a whole. But i need to color only one of the fields. This cannot be achieved by this process i think.
sorry if i trouble u a lot Embarrassed

I now it will change more than you want but it is a proof of concept that it can be done on your version.
I only suggested it to verify that what you wanted is possible (which it seems it is based on the description that you gave) and then to search the settings of these to see how it was accomplished in your version.

My guess is that there is a "SHOW CELL MARGINS" option somehwere on your version but you will have to find where.
use the Help files and search for it as another tool.
