Topic: Subreports Intermittently not working... Posted: 29 Sep 2009 at 6:59am
We are running a report in our portal that uses Linked sub reports on an un-indexed temporary table. Our issue is the sub reports intermittently do not show. We can run the report using the same parameters but different client numbers, one will bring back the sub report the other will not. The sub reports are in the page footer of the main report and they use the same data source. We have increased the timeout however we still have these intermittent issues. Has anyone come across this issue?

Are you sure that they all should return data and are operating correctly? I don't web program, and haven't seen a subreport not run, so the first thought is that the subreport is empty.

In response, all of the sub reports should return data and are operating as they should. We can run the same report on our desktop using the same user, connection, and database and have the sub report return data to populate the sub report's graphs. We have gone so far as to kick the process off on our portal and a desktop... the portal would not have the charts and the desktop would. And the stranger thing...we could hit the back button and it would cause the report to run again and it would return the graph.

ok, hopefully the fact that it is a graph will help someone else. As I said, I don't web program. It could be related to how BO has implemented CR for the.
If it works on the desktop, and not on the site, it is out of my baliwick.
