Hi all,

I intend to have a crystal report with the following format:

Title 1

Type (heading1)       Qty (heading2)       Currency (heading3)

Title 2

Type (heading1)      Qty (heading2)        Currency (heading3)

The 2 different titles should not be grouped together, as in the dataset should fill in all data for title 1 and after which will be title 2. e.g

Clear
Type      Qty      Currency
A            2         sgd
B            4         USD

Blind
Type      Qty      Currency
C            89        ringgit
D            10        rupiah

So how is this format possible?

This is a pretty straightforward example of grouping.  You will need to add the titles to your dataset in some way.  Ideally, it is already in your datasource.  If not, simply create a formula to calculate what the titles should be.  You can group on a formula (with certain restrictions, which shouldn't be a problem here).

Once you have your titles defined as a field, simply go into the Group Expert and create a group based on the titles.  Groups will come with their own headers and footers, which will allow you to put in your column headers.

Check out Chapter 3 of Brian's book for quite a bit of information on grouping.
