When displaying Crystal web application, the string fields in the report will not left justify.  All left justified string fields (database, text boxes and formula fields) display center-justified.

Environment
VS 2008, .NET 2.0, C#
CR XI r2
SQL Server 2005

Additional information
Right-justified fields display right-justified
Center-justified fields display center-justified

If more information is needed to resolve this mystery I will be happy to provide it.

These are likely things you have tried but in case...

I would make sure that the strings have had the Trim function applied. I would try putting the data fields inside a text box and then set that text box to left justifiy.

If you are setting the justification at the field level and trimmed out any empty left and right spaces it should be working.... Any general setting for center justification should be overwritten by the field level settings.

Sorry I cannot be of more help.

I am having the same issue of left justification not working and wanted to see if someone had any other suggestions on how to fix this issue.

Edited for clarification:
The left justification is not working in the report viewer on the web page. When I send the report straight to the printer, the justification is working correctly on all fields.

Thanks!

JDean,

Do you have the most recent Crystal Merge Module dlls installed on the web server?  That might have been the resolution I found, but I just can't remember for sure.
