VS 2005 comes with a "modified" version of Crystal Reports 10. The way it works is that at some point while developing Crystal Reports 10 they started working on Visual Studio 2005. So they took the most recent build from CR 10 and branched it off to integrate it into VS 2005. At that point the CR 10 development was separate from VS 2005 and it became an its own project.
