I have a requirement to create a dynamic Header that will be reused for numerous reports, which I have done using a subreport. The Header needed to be dynamic so that future changes to the Header only had to be made to the Header report itself and not every report individually. Hence, I created a subreport for the Header, and I imported this subreport into the main report in the Page Header Section, as the Header must be repeated on each page. I also have the "Re-Import When Opening" format option selected for the Header subreport.

Intermittently, when I open the a main report, it is adding additional report header and footer subsections in my subreport.  I have deleted the additional sections in the sub and resaved...I have even tried deleting the subreport from the main and re-adding. This will resolve the issue for awhile, but after a opening the main report a few times, it will add these additional sections back.

I know that by default Crystal Reports adds these sections to a subreport, but is there anyway to turn it off?  I have read several postings about how to make the subreport dynamic by choosing the 're-import when opening option', but none of the postings talk about it adding additional sections intermittently.

Is there anyone that can help me with this issue.  It is imperative that I get this one resolved ASAP!
