I have a question about histogram plots.  Right now the version XI is having a special on their web site and I am debating whether to update from the version that was bundled in my Visual Studio.NET package.
My current reports are being generated in Excel and have plots that display the number of occurrances of a measurement on the Y axes and the measurement range broken up into about 60 sections along the X axes.  The plots stack the number of occurrances by the type of part or temperature information.  My question is do I need a XI upgrade to get the same kind of plot in Crystal Reports or will my included version in .NET be able to handle this?
I have read that the Histogram plots in XI change the width of the line based on the number of occurances and I am trying to just stack it by height.  Can you better explain this?

PS Brian I plan on purchasing your book after I find out what version I need.

Unfortunately I haven't done any histogram charting. However, you can easily download their 30 day trial version of XI and test this out before deciding whether to buy it.

Thanks for your interest in my books. I'm about to finish the XI book and I'm getting nervous whether anyone will buy them or not!

Okay thanks for your response.  I wish you luck on your new book.  I am sure if it is more focused on .NET programming you'll sell more than the others since they are more focused on the reports themselves.
