I am trying to write Crystal Reports for a client from a remote location. They have set me up with a Remote Desktop Connection to their server which works fine to get me to their ERP system. However, this does not get me to Crystal Reports and if I use Crystal Reports from remote I cannot access their database through ODBC. I thought we could get around the problem by installing Crystal Reports Developer on their ERP server. This seems to work OK until I try to join tables. At that point I get a memory allocation error which causes Crystal to go belly up.

We are using Crystal Reports XI and the database is Progress. The ERP system is Epicor Vantage, in case that's helpful to anybody.

Help! I just want to get their reports done for them without needing to drive 4 hours round trip each day.

Thanks.
