	Hello, I'm new to CR but I created a report with a parameter and when I switch from design to report preview I want the report to prompt me for a new parameter value each time so I can test different values but I don't get prompted. How to make the report prompt me each time I preview it? TIA hd

	The "New Parameter"dialog has these options for you. Is the parameter being used in a dataset? If it's not being used, it won't ask for it I believe). HTH DC

	DC is right, if you don't use the parameter in a filter or in retrieving the data or display it, CR figures you don't need it and won't ask for it. Hope this helps
