hi all

im new to using crystal and have a problem i hope someone can help with.
i am reading in sales reps sales and need to display just the product name and the total quantity, but what i am displaying is the product name and each sale with a running total i have created that increments with each sale
i am not doing anythin fancy with the running total just summarizing one field with sum and resetting it on change of field

for example:
`
                          my running total

coke                                10
                                       22
                                       25

pepsi                                4
                                       17
                                       28

i need to display them with just the totals e.g.

coke                 25

pepsi                28

any help would be great with this

thanks in advance

Easiest solution:
Group on product name
Create a Summary as a SUM of sales field at group level 1.
Place that summary on GH1 (it will default to the GF1 but this will work in a header).
Suppress details (and GF1 if you want).

Aother option to use what you already have with Running Totals.
Group on Product name
Adjust your RT to reset on group change
Place this RT on the group footer (running totals do not work in headers).
Place product name field on GF
Suppress the Header field and suppress the GH when section is blank
Suppress details row.
