I do not know what you mean by this.
You can alter items by using a formula and then use that instead of the original field.
YOu can create a "Group" by inserting a formula field as a text item which is applied to every row, adding that as the primary group and then add a secondary group unders that.
You can add a formula field to create larger groupings that what your data has and use that as the primary group and then add secondary groupings under those.
