Cry

Hi,

I’m having a bar chat which represents the sales of different items for a month. I need to show the average in chat as a line. Please help me to do this.

Sales represented as bar chat, average should be as a line in that chat.

We have a option to draw custom line in crystal report XI ( I never used this before still), where is this option in crystal report 2008.

Thanks in advanceConfused

Right click on a Y-Axis label. Now bring up the "Scales/grid" dialog. Then go to the last tab up top on the LEFT. THere you should see an option to create a user-defined line.

2 possibilities:

1) If possible, create your runtime value as a formula and then add it as an extra field to be charted. It will show up as a bar, but you can click on the bar in the PREVIEW mode view and bring up right mouse menu  "Series Options". Here you can change ("emphasize") the bar into a line.

2) Our add-in library, CRChart, has extensive support for user-defined lines and allows them to be set at runtime. It also puts the value on the line and some custom-user text (ie "Average: XXX.XX"). But it DOES cost money.
