I have to design an application which is used to view reports.Everywhere i have seen that all are returning dataset to populate Crystal reports. Is it the only way to populate reports when following a three tier architecture.I think dataset slows down web applications.So i was wondering if anybody can help me in this to find out how good if i used user defined classess to populate crystal reports.Advise on  documenst or books i need to refer for this .Thanks
