We are now developing a front end GUI in PHP 5 and the data is in a SQL server DB.   We have direct connectivitiy for updating the data from the user GUI which is fine, but we want to incorporate some Crystal Reprots into the system.

 

I will develop the reports but we need to be able to execute them from the PHP code passing in the report name and parameters for the report and then display the output wither via some Crystal Viewer or as pdf files.

 

How do we do this? Is the Crystal Web server the answer or not - I am not getting any repsonse from the Australian Suppliers of Crystal and cannot work out which products I need nor how to make the calls to get the reports to run.

 

Any help will be appreciated - we are quite willing to buy what we need to make this work, but want a solution that does nto require the users to have anything installed on thier PC's. We do have total control of the server on which the web applcation will run so can install anything there that we need.
