Hi,

I'm trying to add a total trend line to a stacked bar chart.  I know i can't add one by using the built in functionality so i have created a new formula field and then i am trying to add this using the chart expert to the "Show values" area.

Unfortunately it won't let me because i am already using two fields in the "On change of" area.

The only other way i can think to do it is to overlay a new chart with just the trend formula on it but this is quite messy.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated...?

Thanks

Did you get any solution for this?  I have the exact same issue.

Afraid not.

I got around it by creating a second chart and overlaying it with the original.

This causes its own problems with PDF conversion though.

As a company, we are now moving to SSRS so no need to spend any more time trying to find a better solution.

If i ever do find a permanent solution then i'll be sure to post it here.

While in Design mode, click on your chart then from the menu listing click on Chart and select Trendlines...
