I am creating a report inventory for all the crystal reports in the system at present.For this i am collecting the report name with the table.columns  names used in the report ,either to display or for calculaiton.

This would help , when there is any change in the respected table and column , it would be easy to pull  out the names of all the reports getting impacted.

 

Currently i am suing CR doc but that doesnt give all the informaion so i also do a manual check for all the hidden formulae.

 

This post is to get better ideas to do similar kind of work.Is there any way i can reduce my task of opening all the 600 reports for getting the list of all cr reports names and the table and column used in the report.

 

Please jump in with your great thoguths and also if you have done some similar task which i belive you would somewhere in your project , what other informaition beside the table and column is critical to capture for this report inventory to do an impact analysis.
