We are trying to create formulas to show inpatient procedure volume and outpatient procedure volume in two separate columns in a Crystal report.  The groups are cost center and a group for billing code.  The current formula we are trying is "if inout code = "I" then procedure quantity".  Same formula for the outpatient side except "O" to indicate outpatient.

The report just keeps running...no data returns.  Is there a different formula format we should be using?

Thank you.

Actually no.  They were seperate formulas.  We wanted two columns one for ip and one for op.

We did get this to work.  I think it had something to do with the way we had the groups set up.
