Using Crystal XI, create a static parameter, try to append database values but no data appears.  Database connection appears to working since it same database table and field are used values appear in report.  What would cause no data to appear for static parameter?

Thanks,

Hi

Check for ... the type of static parameter you are trying to create is the same as your field e.g. Database Field is string and type is Number then if you do append all no data will appear.

cheers

Thanks for your response.

Confirmed data types are the same (string - varchar2).  The strange thing is if I create the same static parameter on a different PC it works.  I've compared CR option settings, confirmed using same DB connection...  Are there other configuration settings that should be looked at?

Thanks for your help

Were you ever able to get this figured out? It is SO weird. The appended data shows on my computer, but not on my boss's. Argh!

I hope there is a solution! Thanks!

Never able to figure out.  We changed parameter to a variable (prompting) instead of static.
