Newbie to the forum. When I save my Crystal Report (version 11.0.0.1282) the database refreshes. This is a problem when the report takes hours to generate, then I hit save and it re accesses the database. Is there a setting that I am missing that changed or is this normal if the report generates over night and sits dormat until I get in to the office? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes. I have always saved it so others could use the Crystal Report viewer to see the report. Today it seems to be fine. I tried re checking the box to perform grouping on sever. Maybe that is the whole issue. Thanks for the response.
