How do you organise the data, what tools to i use to create a Stacked bar chart?

I want to display total calls received for the top 5 departments with the most calls.

For each department I want the stack to break down into 4 7-day weeks so that the total column displays for a 4 week month.

Do I:

Group by department.

Sort by N, 5.

Select Expert, is between ‘first day of month’ AND ‘last day of month’

This will show the top 5 columns for the month, how do I display the weeks within the month column, breaking it down or ‘stacking it’?

Okay, go to Chart Expert.

On the Type tab, select Bar, then Stacked Bar.

On the Data tab, select Advanced under Layout.  In the "on change of" box, put your department first.  Apply the TopN restriction.  Then, put the call date next.  Under Order, you can select "for each week".  In the "Show value(s)" box, put Count of calls.

As a note, if you are actually selecting based on the month, you will get more than four weeks, as there are actually about 4.33 weeks in a month.  Depending on the month in question, you may get some oddly small results from the partial weeks.
