Hi There
 
I have reports that have thousands of rows of data, and sums at the bottom.
 
I would like to display only 10 lines or so, but need to sums to be the sum of all relevant lines.
 
Can I restrict what is viewed for presentation purposes? 50 odd pages of data is not required at printing stage!
 
I have tried the top10 area but my report is not grouped, and if I group then top10 my report sums are for the top10 lines, not for all lines.
 
Can anyone help with this at all?

Add a running total to your details section.

In the section expert, suppress the details section if the running total is greater than, say, 10.

Keep in mind that this will still bring all the data into the report (if you are concerned about response time), but will only display the first 10 records.
