Topic: Show/Hide Report fields Posted: 10 Dec 2007 at 11:05am
I have inheritied a messy report. I need to figure out how to show and hide fields based onthe value of the fields and not to make it look like a patch work quilt in the process.
I am afraid I will need to redesign the entire report and was looking for feedback first.

This is a tough question b/c it sounds like if the report isn't in the format you need and you are turning stuff on and off, then it will still look like a patchwork. Anyway, right-click on the object and open the Format Editor. In the Common tab is the Suppress property. Click on the Formula button directly to the right and enter a formula that checks the value of another field and returns true when you want to hide the field.
