Howdy all,

I have a report that is showing for a first page, a page that has a title but no records/details.  So it's basicaly a blank page if not for the title it would be totaly blank.  This report is based on a previous report that was well behaving.  What I did to the new report is add different grouping and added a little height to the one and only detail section.  The details start on the second page.  Is there a quick fix?  Is there something I can do to get rid of the basicaly blank first page?

Are you forcing page break before a group?

That creates a blank page often.

If so, the correction is pretty simple. In the section expert, for the group, in the page before x-1 button enter:
Not OnFirstRecord

hmm...
that's all that I can think of that gives that type of symptom.

The only other thought is 'Keep Together', but if something spans more than a page, it doesn't typically do a page before...I think

there is a setting in each sub report.
right click on it
select Format Subreport
select Common Tab
Uncheck 'Keep iobject together' (make it false)
repeat for all 3 sub reports.

Thank you very much DBlank that took care of that problem.  Now I have a new one to post.  This never ends.  I sure hope I have a handle on CR soon.  Thanks again.
