Hi All,

I need to look at the what times our vehicles arrive at an event and who arrives first second third. I have tables which give the event number, the vehicles who went and what date/time they start their journey and arrived (in dd/mm//yyy hh:mm:ss format), when I put these into crystal I get a long list a bit like this:

Event ID Vehicle     Send date/time       Arrive time
1        green    01/01/12 01:02:42   01/01/12 01:30:15
1        red      01/01/12 01:02:42   01/01/12 02:14:50
1        orange   01/01/12 01:05:30   01/01/12 01:20:12
1        blue     01/01/12 02:30:07   01/01/12 03:00:01

but what I would like is long line listing Event ID, 1st arriving vehicle name, 1st arriving vehicle send time, 1st arriving vehicle arrive time, then 2nd, 3rd etc

any ideas? hope that makes sense????

Thanks

i believe that groups sort in ascending order which may be what you are looking to do. you would need to create a group for each field you want the report to sort in and make sure that they are in the correct order.

to expand on that just a bit,
i would group on the event ID and then sort the details ascending on arrive time
you can then see the sequence of the arrival vehicles per event

that's definitely an improvement, is tehre a way of making the results run left to right rather than top to bottom, if that makes sense???
