CR XI - i have a excel doc that I am uploading that was created in Cognos and exported to excel.  When it gets export there are mutliple sheets/tabs in the excel doc.  I upload it and I get a folder under the database fields for each sheet/tab (5).  See above example...

Is there a way to combine all 5 into one folder? or how do you format?  When I format by picking and choose from each of the 5 the data does not get displayed correctly - I have tried but cannot seem to figure it out.  I need to pick and choose certain fields from each of the 5 folders and have the results represented on one line.

Thanks in advance for any responses

You can't get all 5 together.  However, you may be able to join the 5 sheets as is each were a table.  I don't really work with Excel as a data source, so I'm not absolutely certain about this, but it would make sense.  The thing is that Crystal needs to know how to join the sheets together in order to get data from multiple sheets.  In the Database Expert go to the Links tab.  Designate one sheet as the "Master" and link from it to each of the other sheets by dragging a line from the appropriate "field" in the master to the matching field in each of the "children".

You should now be able to get the data in the format you're looking for.
