I have a sql express database at work. I copy it to my zip drive and copy it to my laptop which I have sql installed. I can access the database tables going through sql server management. in vb.net I added a CR project to my current project. when I create a connection to sql database I only see dbo, information_schema and sys. anyone know why this is happening.
thanks

did you click on dbo? dbo is the default schema, and it 'owns' the tables in it's schema. The schema ownership is a way to enforce security and restrict users from seeing tables/view/stored procs, and/or limiting what they can do to the database.

it's also a way of grouping everything.

it's a bit late for a answer...better than never, and I am sure someone else has/will run into the same issue.
