Hi,
Some of my reports shows strange behaviour in my PC. I have installed CR12 and CR10 and both shows the same symptom. Here is the problem: When i create new report (from SQL server), i can see the database, table and views. i could successfully logged in. Inside the CR while i insert the field, nothing is fetching. No data is shown in field explorer.

Is there any security in the database denying to browse the data although i can log in to db?I am logged in as SA. still no luck.

Is there any setting in the CR itself to deny displaying data?

Thanks for any help.

Check to make sure you have Select rights to the DB.

Hi,
Thanks for your update.

Where should i check this right? in DB or in crystal reports? where do i specifically search for this setting? As far as i remember, have not done any change.

Thanks again.

It is on the database side.  If you are using MS-SQL then you could use SQL Server Management Studio (I think that is the right name for MS-SQL 2005 and up) to check the database rights.
