	Yes. How depends on what you want to highlight and if you are doing it conditionally or constantly.

	It's not conditional there are two line in the report footer and I want one of them to be highlighted. Thanks, PanHR

	you want the whole section (e.g. report footer a) to be 'highlighted'?

	if so, go into the section expert select the section you want to highlight (e.g. report footer a) click on the color tab (on the right hand side next to the 'common' tab) check the 'background color' box as TRUE select the color you want from the drop down list or use the 'more' option to use a different color.

	Thanks for your help but I want to highlight just a part of the report footer. I want to highlight the first line of a sentence.

	is it a text field in crystal or a string field from the db? you only want to highlight the background of the first "line" or first "sentence"?

	I will assume this is a string field type from the db and not a text field you inserted into the report. I think you will have to split the field into two and highlighht the background color of one field only. you can use left() and mid() functions to split it. exactly how depends on what the consistnet logic is that can be applied to each field to always get the 'a', (maybe a carriage return).
