    Posted: 25 Aug 2010 at 3:08am
Hello,
I am BRAND new to crystal and I have only been using SQL server 2008 along with Visual Studio for about two months to do all of my reporting.

I have finally got a handful of working reports that we needed.

The powers that be want me to start generating my reports with Crystal 10.

Is there any way to just import my current Query into Crystal?

Thanks

I skipped version 10 but you should be able to add a Command Object in the Database Expert window. You should be able to cut & past the SQL into the Command Object and use that as your data selection source. Command Objects will accept parameters as needed, though the parameters need to be created in CR before values can be passed.

Also the SQL need to be pure SQL syntax free of any Visual Studio syntax.

Look in the help file under command objects for more info.

Hope this helps

Regards,
