I am a newbie with Crystal 2008.  I had a co-worker ask me if it was possible to have a field in a report -- ex. "Item_ID" -- that is a hyperlink.  When a user clicks the ID field, it would open the program (not another report or subreport) that has all the info about this item (the other program is HP's Service Manager).

So, is it possible for a hyperlink in a Crystal report field to open other software, passing the necessary data to not only launch it but to open a particular record in said software?  If so, how?

If not, a reply to that effect would be appreciated, rather than no reply at all.
