Hi,

we converted to crystal 2008 and I have an issue with a group report that is grouped by employee (group1) and ded code (group2).

I am only printing information at the group2 level. Group1 header and footer is hidden and suppressed. I export the report into excel. I end up with a extra blank line in excel. Data shows as follows in excel:

line 1          ID              Ded Cd          Effdt
line 2
line 3          100              S900           2010/10/18
line 4
line 5          100              S920           2010/10/20
line 6
line 7          110               S900          2010/10/18

Why is it inserting the extra line in exel and how can I get rid of it. Because of the blank lines, we can't filter the report in excel.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know, but looking at the sample, I wouldn't think that it has to do with the hidden header/footer.  If it did, I wouldn't expect line4, as they are in the same header grouping, also, there should be 2 blank lines between group 100 and group 110 for the summary.

I would say check for something else, but I really don't know what as I don't export to often, and have not encountered this issue before.
