Hi,
I have a report that needs to be exported both as PDF and Excel-data only, depending on the user's choice.
For the PDF output, I need to have a detail section which contains only a line drawing.
I would expect that in Excel-data only mode, the section with just the line would be ignored, but the excel contains an empty row in it's place (it is ignored if I remove the line from it, but I need to keep it).
I don't have access to the application code...
I tried different options in the Crystal Reports excel export dialog, but with no luck.

There is no way to prevent this from happening - there is no way to control the Excel export beyond the options you're given inside Crystal. This is an ongoing issue that nobody at SAP seems to be interested in addressing.
