created crystal report 9 report. after data verifiacation i saved the report. that way it kept the data. is there anyway to clear the data and save a blank template?. in preview i do not want to see any data.

Ah, I'm going to take a stab at this. I've never used Crystal 9, having skipped that version entirely. This method works in Crystal XI, certainly.
Look in your File menu. There should be an option to "Save Data with Report." Simply de-select it, and save your report again. (You may have to do something like move a text around, so that Crystal thinks there actually was a change that needs saving.)
