Hello:

Our Crystal BO server cannot send to emails outside of the domain. There must be a setting somewhere that needs to be changed.

I know the email is a good address, because I can send to it from out internal email when not going through the Crystal BO server.

Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks.

Hi,

Have you successfully added the Email Destination in the Destination properties of the adaptive job server ?

You can do this in the CMC under Servers by navigating to the Properties of each job server and under Destination . Enter there the connection data to your SMTP server. Save your changes and restart the modified server.
Go to CMC, go to servers
go to servers by category
then check Crystal Servers, right click the "ServerName.AdaptiveJobServer" server
and click destination
and there you have to adjust the mail server parameters

Check this document for your reference

Thanks for the reply praveeng.

The settings you suggested seem to already be set up. I went ahead and re-saved the info, then restarted the server. But, still no luck. The automated reports will work only within the domain...none will be delivered outside the domain.

Finally figured this one out, if anybody is having the same problem.

There seems to be a setting on the MS Exchange server that was missing. It is called server relay settings. The ip number of the server that runs CR Business objects needed to be inserted in the Exchange server relay area.
