Afternoon Guys,

well happy to admit im a novice at this stage, but am reading through "crystal reports for dummies"...so hopefully ill take in something.

Im using group expert,

Im coming up with what seems a common grouping error. I have "New Page after 1 visible groups" ticked. This works perfectly. However i have a blank page as my first page. The fix seems to be the "Not Onfirstrecord" formula. However when input i come up with "a number or currency amount is required here" error which i cannot seem to get past.

Secondly. Id like to use the new page after 1 group formula field sporadically. ie "If 1,2,3,6,8 then new page, if 4,5,7, then no new page per 1 group" Is this possible?

Any advice, or even a 100 page artickle i need to read to help me along would be super appreciated.
