Is there an easy way to filter out Zero's when doing an average calculation for subtotals?

Hi Daniel,
 
Are you using a running total field to create the average?  If so, try adding a formula during the evaluation step that excludes any zero amounts. 
{FieldBeingAveraged} > 0.00
