Hi ....

I've a grouped (3 to 6 groups) report (.rpt file). Published in CR XI report server.
Would like to access thru vs 2005 with page server concept.
used infoobject and cast as report object. its working fine. but the thing is

thru application i would to change the group columns. for eg., country to state, zip code to pin like that. also is it possible to remove and add new groups thru application.

one more thing is recordformula i would to set. its working thru that property. but how to assign the parameter in the record formula. its not getting the value.

i'm using Report object from crystaldecisions.enterprise.engine namespace.

urgent.... ur help will be appreciated

thanks in advance...

Do you have a limit on the number of fields you can use for grouping?  If so, this can easily be done in the report itself, rather than having to code a lot of stuff for it.  To do this, you set up a parameter for each group and do something like this:

Switch({?Group1 Param} = 'Country', {table.Country Field},
           {?Group1 Param} = 'State', {table.State Field},
            true, {table.Default Group Field})

You would then group on this formula instead of the specific fields.

In your code, you have to explicitly set the parameter values.  I would try setting the record selection formula first and then set the parameters.
