I'm not sure if I am posting this on right forum I have the older version of Crystal (8.5) but here goes:

I'm trying to create a balance sheet and this is where I am stuck

I set up these Groups

Assets:

Formula (individual account summaries)

Total Assets (sum of account summaries)

Liabilites:

Formula (individual account summaries)

Total Liabilities (sum of account summaries)

Equity:
Formula (individual account summaries)

Total  Equity ???
Total equity is individual acct. summaries + grand total of all accounts

Here is my problem I don't how to get Crystal to take my entire accounts summaries and place in the group of Equity (which is what gives me my Net Income/Loss), which then would give me my true Equity. I can put this Net Income calculation at the end of the report, but it won't subtract or add it Equity it wants to sit alone and it still leaves me the problem of not being able to get Crystals to take that total on the Equity and Liabilities to get the balance equal to Assets group that I want to show?

Does anyone know what formula I could do or if it is even possible.

Thanks in advance
I hope this is enough info

A question, are the equity accts included in the (all other accounts)?

What you can try, is to summarize the equity accounts in one footer and then in another footer, add them together with the rest of the accounts. You can always suppress the equity summary footer.

Accounting always seems tricky...everyone likes to see/has the data in different forms, but this is where I would start.

Hope it helps.
