    Posted: 22 Jul 2009 at 12:49am
I have some data relating to years and attendance in a cross tab for each individual ID number. The way i currently have it is each cross tab is in the group header section for ID number and so there is a separate cross tab per person (this is becasue it is linked to an on demand sub report when you click on ID number)

But because of the way its made there is aa major problem. I have built a table round it using my own lines and headers to make it look like a single table but because there may be years that a particular person wasnt attending that year is missing for them and so the data doesnt match up to the headers.

For example:

A person is attending for the years 2007 and 2008 only, since there is no data for them in 2006 or 2009 those columns aren't there. So when it is put into the table i made it looks like the data for those years (07/08) is actually for 06/07.

So generally what i'm asking is - is there a way to somehow include blank columns in a cross tab to make up for if theres no data for it? Perhaps maybe putting in my own year range so that i can change it as the years go by.

I hope i've managed to explain it well enough for you to understand. Any help on this will be very much appreciated.

Are you really using a crosstab or are you just mimicking te look of a crosstab? A real crosstab would have the headers change with the data so I am confused by your description...
