Apparently there was a bug in CR9 where if you used a table in Excel CR would forget where that table was.  When trying to Set Datasource Location, you can't "map" anything because the Fields in the Original Table are all gone, it's as if the table is blank.

Supposedly there was a CR9 "fix" but it only fixed future reports, not preexisting.

I just upgraded to 2008 hoping it would solve the problem.  Other than recreating all my reports, does anyone know of a way to re-assign the table and map the lost fields?

bump with new problems

I have a CR 2008 that has been working fine for a long time until today.
It seems to know where the Excel table is but there are no fields.  I've tried to Set Datasource Location and remap but there are no fields to map to.

The Excel file & it's sheets are not password protected, nor are the sheets hidden.  The tables do not contain any blank rows to disrupt the table.
