    Posted: 09 Mar 2011 at 5:32am

Hi,

I'm trying to create a dynamic parameter to display our client list, but I can't get it to show the complete list.  When the user is prompted to select, there is a way to select from batches 1 thru 5 but batch 5 stops in the "L"s and I can't see anything past that.

I was thinking about creating multi level parameters were I would prompt for the starting letter first, then pull in all client names starting with the letter the user selected but I don't see a way to do that unless I have a column in the table that only has the starting letter of the name.

Anyone have any suggestions on this?

Thanks
John.

likely you have to change your registry to increase the LOV value amount

Thanks. I tried it and it doesn't work on our server where CR2008 is installed.  It is version 12.1.0.892.  I created the path, tried it with both Suite 12.0 and Suite 12.1 but neither one worked.

However when I did it on my laptop which has version 12.2.0.290 that one worked with Suite 12.0 in the path.  I guess I might have to update to 12.2

Found the problem.

This server is running VMWare, I had to put it into HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions\LOV

I think it's because of the VMWare issue.
