    Posted: 10 Dec 2011 at 4:38pm
Hello,

I am new to crystal reports. I am having a problem in displaying group header text label only once for the group. The data is grouped by department and program.I used text box to display department name and other field names in group header and in the similar way i used text box for program name and other fields. As i used them in group header the text box are displayed for each department and program. Is there any way to avoid this?.

This is how i am getting the output.
DepartmentName      LastYear    NextYear
cd                               10            20
DepartmentName      LasrYear    NextYear
sp                                12            90
DepartmentName      LastYear    NextYear
ki                                 78            89

The output Should be like

DepartmentName LastYear NextYear
cd                         10             20
sp                         12             90
ki                          78             89.

The Group text labels should be displayed only once.I tried it but i am  unable to find the solution.

Thanks in advance.

Either create another group one level higher that is one value for the entire report and place them in that header
Or place them on the report header or page header
You can also conditionally suppress based on the group number countr

Or make a gh1b, place them there and suppress that section
That also would avoid leaving voids where the fields are suppressed
