    Posted: 06 Feb 2008 at 3:14am

Hello,

I am working in Crystal XI.

Problem:
I have created 3 Indivitual Reports with 3 input parameter value.
Its like "Start date", "End Date", "User list"

Now the requirement is, they need in a single report.

so i decided to put as a sub report.

when i was using as a subreports. Its showing me 9 input parameters.

Exact requirement:
I need to give only 3 input parameters in Main report.
Its like "Start date", "End Date", "User list"

It could be directly assign to all the 3 Sub reports as a parameter value.

Kindly help me on this topic and thanks in advance

Regards

so are the subreports each asking you to input the three parameters. Thus, three reports with three parameters each gives you nine prompts. If this is the problem, then when you link the main report to the subreports, don't use the default subreport field that it creates. Instead,  on the dropdown list, choose the existing field that is already in the subreport. If you let CR create a linking field for you in the subreport then it will prompt you multiple times for the same parameter.

I cover this technique and other subreport linking tips in Chapter 9 of my book Crystal Reports Encyclopedia.
