I am trying to create a formula to only include distinct numbers in a report instead of listing the same numbers up to 5 times.  I have created a running total field but that did not work so I though to create a new item in Select Expert.  I opened the formula editor and added "DistinctCount ({requests.req_id})".  It gave me an error that said "A boolean character is needed here.
Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

try shared variables.  allows for coding / your logic instead of having to use built in functionality that doesn't always work.
